How it works

You just talk. We do all the rest.

A guided process, designed so the story actually gets finished.

The whole journey

From first hello to heirloom in hand

Every project is shaped around your story and your timeline. Here's how a typical book comes to life.

The magic starts with the interviews — the rest is our craft. Most families are surprised by how easy, and how moving, the process turns out to be.

What makes it work is not a questionnaire. Our interviewers are trained to build genuine rapport first — to be patient with long pauses, to follow the thread that clearly matters, and to make someone feel safe enough to say the things they have never said out loud. That is where the real story lives.

Interviews happen wherever your storyteller is: online from anywhere in the world, or in person across Israel, the US, the UK and Australia. See where we work and the languages we work in.

What families say about it

Karen H., Opus Eternal client — Memoir for her father KH
Kovi created a priceless family heirloom for us, beautifully honoring my father's memory for generations to come. Beyond his talent and professionalism, Kovi was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was always quick to respond and graciously accommodated every change we requested. We couldn't be more grateful for this priceless gift to our family.

  1. 01

    Introductory conversation

We start with a free, relaxed call to understand who the book is for, what you hope to capture, and any timeline or occasion you're working toward.

  2. 02

    Proposal & plan

You receive a clear proposal — scope, format, page count, number of printed copies and price — so you know exactly what to expect before anything begins.

  3. 03

    The interviews

Several relaxed sessions, in person or online, at whatever pace suits the storyteller. We gently guide the conversation from earliest memories through childhood, family, career, relationships, parenting and life lessons.

  4. 04

    Crafting the story

We transcribe every session, structure the narrative, and write the story in your authentic voice — the way it would be told at the kitchen table, only better.

  5. 05

    Review together

You read the full draft and we refine it together until every detail feels right. Nothing is finalized until you're delighted.

  6. 06

    Photos & memorabilia

You share the images that bring the story to life — old family portraits, wedding photos, letters, documents, medals, treasured keepsakes. Faded, torn or low-quality originals are professionally enhanced and restored with advanced imaging, so they print beautifully.

  7. 07

    Design, print & deliver

Your story and photographs are set into a beautifully designed, custom-printed book. You receive a digital copy and premium physical heirloom copies to treasure and share.

Good to know

Common questions about the process

How long does it take?

Around three months from start to finish. Every project varies a little, because it's a collaboration and we move at your pace.

How much work is it for me?

Almost none. You talk, we do everything else — the transcribing, writing, design and printing. Your only other job is reading the draft and telling us what to change.

Do the interviews have to be in person?

No. Online or by phone works just as well, from any country and time zone. We also have interviewers who come to you across Israel, the US, the UK and Australia.

What if my parent doesn't remember things clearly?

That's normal, and it's what we're good at. Gentle, patient questions bring back far more than people expect — and family members, letters and photographs fill the rest.

What if they're reluctant to be interviewed?

Most people are, at first. Nearly all of them end up loving the sessions. We start slowly and never push.

Can we add photographs?

Yes. Photos, letters, documents and memorabilia are all welcome, and we restore old or damaged ones so they print beautifully.

How much does it cost?

With Opus Eternal, having a book written, designed and printed is no longer a $30,000+ luxury reserved for the rich and famous. We believe everyone has a story worth remembering. We offer several packages to suit different lengths and needs — see the packages on our pricing page.

How does the 100% satisfaction guarantee work?

You review the draft and we refine it together for as many rounds as you like. You pay your final balance at the end, once the book is exactly as you hoped.
